The "Chinese" have just placed another round of major GSM network orders for Ericsson and Motorola. We might as well stop talking about China Unicom and China Telecom as "the Chinese". That's like referring to AT&T as "the Americans".

I still can't figure out why Unicom keeps buying more GSM infra every single month if they are planning a major CDMA investment. We now have about two weeks left to see that massive CDMA investment wave that certain industry people promised would happen "during the year 1999". Should we start a count-down?
