I agree, if the watch is accurate (which it doesn't claim to be) bring on the watch, by all means. Also there is the issue of compliance; and this bothers me too. How many patients, especially kids, would start to rely soley on the watch to avoid the finger stick? I do some fund raising in this area, among other things, so I can empathize to some extent with your feelings and thoughts. However, the FDA approves or disapproves glucose meters (test strip method) on the basis of accuracy. Why is this being treated differently?
