Hi Gauguin:

I am not an optical technology expert-- the two persons
you want to interview are Frank Coluccio and Raymond Duray.
Based on comments I have gleaned from lectures I attended,
I would say that the demise of electronic switching
(by opposition with pure optical switching) has
been greatly exaggerated. Nevertheless experts still
predict it will occur.

If you are young, given that Corvis is still private,
and given the astronomical valuations awarded to
anything optical, I would sign up. However, from
a business perspective, expect that competing with
the likes of Lucent will be very challenging.
