I'm not sure if the reason is because society is confused, or if it is just a longing for greater meaning in our lives(a recurring theme in the book.
That is the type of confusion I meant. People are longing for greater meaning. They are realizing that their gods are not satisfying to them, but they still refuse to acknowledge the True One. Or they did know Him and rejected Him, so now there is a viod that will never be filled by their gods. If you don't believe me, ask those 450 prophets of Baal and those 400 of the groves that called, danced, shouted, slashed themselves,etc on Mt Carmel. Yet their gods were silent.....I mean after all, what can carved wood do?
I think reflecting on these types of messages gives people a sense of hope, loving, and meaning in their lives that we all would like to experience to a greater degree.
If you like THIS movie for those reasons then I have a GREAT movie for you. It is called JESUS, the Matthew series. It will show you hope you have never heard from the world, It will show you love that can only come from the Father, it will prove that Jesus death WAS and IS the meaning of LIFE, not death. Remember Morrie said he planned on being dead. I do not. I plan on being in HIS ARMS FOR ETERNITY.
