ViewCast.com In Pacts With Ingram Micro, Hauppauge

DALLAS (Dow Jones)--ViewCast.com Inc. (VCST, news, msgs) reached agreements with Ingram Micro Inc. (IM, news, msgs) and Hauppauge Digital Inc. (HAUP, news, msgs) related to the distribution of its Your Video On the Web package to retailers in the U.S. and Europe.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

In a press release Tuesday, ViewCast.com said the agreements will expand the retail presence of Your Video On the Web, a package it developed that lets personal-computer users capture video from a camcorder and broadcast it online.

Hauppauge Digital, a Hauppauge, N.Y, maker of digital video products, will manufacture the package, the company said.

Ingram Micro, Santa Ana, Calif., which sells technology products and services, will distribute the product, now shipping for $99.95.

Shares of ViewCast.com, a provider of video communication products, rose 9/16, or 11.8%, to 5 5/16 in midafternoon trading on SmallCap volume of 534,600 shares. Average daily volume is 359,941 shares.

Was going to sell when I saw several sells in the mid-afternoon, but MM held price tight. Not accustomed to these NYSE MM's.
