Summit Comments On ITC Decision WALTHAM, Mass.--(BW HealthWire)--Dec. 7, 1999--Summit Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:BEAM) said today that the decision by the ITC (International Trade Commission) in favor of Nidek in the unfair competition action brought against Nidek by Visx will have no effect on the patent infringement action brought by Summit against Nidek. Summit has brought patent infringement suits against Nidek and Icon Laser Centers in US District Courts in Massachusetts and elsewhere and the Company will continue to vigorously defend its patent position.
