Managed Fabless Company'

(Nasdaq:PMCS - news) today announced that it received three awards from the Fabless
Semiconductor Association (FSA). The company won ``Best Financially Managed Fabless Company' in 1999 as well as
``Outstanding Financial Performance', and ``Favorite Fabless Pick.' The FSA presented awards to recognize fabless
companies in the semiconductor industry who have shown exemplary success, strategy, vision and future promise.
Best Financially Managed Company Award
The FSA, along with financial analysts, reviewed financial performance including financial growth, profitability and liquidity
ratios. Based on this criteria, PMC-Sierra was selected from the public fabless companies traded on US Exchanges.
Outstanding Financial Performance Award
Companies that doubled revenue or net income year-over-year, for the twelve-month period ending September 1999
received awards for their outstanding financial performance.
Favorite Fabless Pick Award
Five leading semiconductor financial analysts selected their favorite fabless company for this award. The financial analysts
based their decisions on historical, as well as projected data, such as stock price, earnings per share, revenue forecasts and
product performance.
