I cannot speak for every company's test methodology but I can tell you that if you want to ship sub 500DPM then it must be done for every device in the standard production test flow. Not every company ships sub 500DPM however I believe AMD's quality standards are near if not equal to Intel's. It is time consuming as wave integrators require ~500ms to do their thing but it also serves as a fault screen and no large company (Intel, AMD, IBM, Moto, TI, etc) would leave it out.
