Hi jc,let me add to what mr.mark and others have indicated. I have win98se, nscp 4.7, 56k dial-up, (cable not an option here, ADSL cost too much), and had same connect problems as you. I'm paying for Unlimited Hours, so why not. Downloaded a Freeware Connected program, Alive 1.52, sits in SYS Tray and now I stay connected. There seems to be several out there. Type in, Stay Connected, in a search engine. I got mine from Nonags, but can't seem to locate at this moment. others are here tho'.http://www.ded.com/nonags/index.html, Connection Keeper, 456 kb, free looks good. If you want I can download and PM to you. Think there are others here also.

Regards, /jw

ps; once page loads click on search (Left Center) and type in "Stay Connected" without quotes
