Perhaps we differ on the term "study the feasibility". But this is part of ATHM's response to the AT&T release:

While we fully expect to have a long and mutually beneficial relationship with all our cable partners even after our exclusivity expires, AT&T has indicated for some time that it would enter into additional arrangements at that time. We look forward to developing new business relationships ourselves in the post exclusive period with both existing and new partners that will expand our markets further. We will be working with our cable partners to establish terms of carriage for the post-exclusive period and to support the millions of subscribers we will share at that time. We also expect to provide a substantial piece of the "Internet transport services," described in today's letter, that AT&T will eventually offer to other ISPs. Further, we anticipate expanding our broadband services to other high speed data platforms.

Milo Medin said that ATHM was looking at expanding to alternate distribution systems after the exclusivity agreements expire while being interviewed on CNBC the other day. Note: This is my interpretation of what MM said - it's not an exact quote.
