Mark in Wa. (Yahoo)...the Yahoo board is down, so figgerin' you read this too, here's an answer on what happens through Friday...
...geez, wish I knew...:o) Seriously, though, I've been watching quite a number of phenomenal momentum plays the last few weeks; BTWS, AZTC, ZMBA, RRRR, CNRS, FCSE, ESFT, NANX, come to mind. All the latter have shown consistent strength following the divergence of the DMI's. Many had some news cookin'. Most had super fundamentals but had been running pretty flat for a long time. NTPL fit many of my criteria, and while it's tripled recently, I'm not worried about a collapse, yet. Did I really say that?
I mentioned somewhere, earlier that these are all-time highs, so there is no ingrained upward resistance. You can go to the trade logs and figure oout how many shares are sitting between here and 9 7/8. It ain't gonna take too much to burn through the positions that are red.
Worst case, I'd look for a dip to the $5-5 1/2 range. In the neighborhood from where it first busted loose on Friday, w/the block of 450K. We've broken donw through some previous resistances yesterday, notably Monday's gap up to 6 15/16, and the tough area @ 7 3/4. Pitiful volumes, but it did drop. The 5-day also fell apart today on the little gap down, thogh it looks like it's broken back up through the today downtrend. Hard to tell.
All that rambling, and for what? :o) My 2 cents...I think we retest or crest $10 before Friday, before it falls back a bit. I do believe ACOM will play a role; when and however high it trades. Momentum is momentum. If people want some, you ain't gonna stop 'em. I'm not sure what other companies the sector is made of, but many are running...RAZF, MMPT, NCNT, etc. NTPL is the cheapest one out there.
As it (if it) resumes the run, I'll trail a stop-loss about $1.50 behind it. Personally I'm lookin' for any exit over $10; holding 12K. I will keep 1-2K freebies, and definitely reenter heavier in the coming weeks after the smoke clears, and a stable base has been established. LT this one looks very good. |
