Haven't quite figured out some of the final DSL mechanics. The recent court decision allowing non-monopolists to use the last mile doesn't really bite for another 5 mos, I think. Even then, aren't the CLAPs (CLEPs?) still dependent on the monopolist to enable DSL technology? I was hoping that at some point the CLAP/CLEP could rollout DSL ahead of the baby bells monopoly-retreat pace. (My understanding is the last mile monopolists are collecting abusive rents on ISDN, T1, T3 and Frame Relay. The premiums on these will largely disappear with the availability of DSL.) Go DSL!
