I really don't know much about NAS except what i learned yeserday but the consensus was they aren't really competing with each other st this point-
Sans is a whole infrastructure play and should kick butt for the next few years. Nas should do very well also in that time period.
Nas seems to attach right to the LAN to relieve some of the the pressure on the LAN. With NAS You can take something your working on right off the Network and store it in a Nas device and work on it from there- Sort of like a desktop SANs-The Dataquest slide presentation on NAS was pretty good-It actually a pretty cool idea but it really doesn't compete with SANs -I skipped all the NAS events and now wish I had gone to one because NTAP had alot of Buzz.
