I think the potential for PROGRESS is that its it not far off from providing a complete solution for the enterprise. ( The UAA universal application architecure I think its called ). Mainly I see that what enterpises want to do is give an internet window to their applications but keep client server functionality. ( eg: multiuser issues are a nightmare using the internet model ).

So the UAA pulls everything together.

I agree that no immediate revenue is likely from the ASP program - however the name of the game on the internet seems to be gaining critical mass rather than just profits. If PROGRESS manages to lock in all these partners then thats one hell of a lot of E-commerce/leased applications that will be relying on PROGRESS software.

As E-commerce/ASP takes off so should progress :-)

Another area of huge potential I see is Apptivity. From my research the Apptivty suite seems to be one of the leading development products for E-Commerce / Order Entry on the net.

I'm hopeful that Apptivity is going to be seen to be a major revenue earner this QTR. Also I m hoping that as many companies have purchased their Y2K compliant versions of PROGRESS - this will give a boost to earnings. Another plus perhaps is the dollar as a lot of PROGRESS earnings come from outside the US.
