The oil companies are not exactly in the best of shape for Y2K compliance. Some are saying that production will fall by as much as 20% as the third world producers have some major problems... In my opinion, I believe the loss in production will be somewhere between 5% and 10%, enough to help precipitate a major recession if they do not get their houses in order quickly... Yogi
