-OT- And here's more grist for the rumor mill: from briefing.com 13:53 ET Intel (INTC) 76 -1 3/16: Rumors once again swirling today concerning Intel. Two rumors have been making the rounds, one that Intel will hold a 3 pm conference call to preannounce and one that Goldman Sachs will sponsor a conference call with Intel this afternoon. Sources tell us that both Intel and Goldman have denied these rumors. Rumors of an Intel warnings also were heard yesterday on the heels of Salomon Smith Barney's cautious comments about Gateway (GTW), related to Intel supply shortages.
