Zigler. You may think I am not being rational in my statements, and your rooting for Corel is, that is fine with me. I made a wrong decision of investing in Corel and I don't blame the management of Corel for that decision. However, I was lead to believe through statements made by the management of this company that it was on its way to recovery, until we were hit last quarter with pathetic earning results. You may be right that Cowpland could have sold his shares at $30 when they were that high and he did not anticipate this downturn. I am sure he could have done the same thing with MITEL and earned more than $150 million, but he did not. Anyway, Zigler keep rooting and don't worry eventually Corel will go up to $10, your purchase price. By the way I do respect Cowpland for his abilities, and those who know him say he is a nice person and easy to talk to. My criticism is not directed to him personally but rather to his many comments that I am sure has contributed to the slide of the stock price. In his interview with Forbes magazine he said something to the effect that if Java does not take hold we will be in trouble (one notch down in the stock price.) In other statements we are going head on against Microsoft and we are winning !!! Of course he should have qualified that statement by adding only in the retail market which is much smaller than the corporate market, but he did not. By the way I did not write that Cowpland will walk away from Corel and leave the company bankcrupt, I wrote the investor will be bankcrupt "because of the continuous drop in the shares". I was comparing to a previous situation when he sold MITEL the shares had dropped to $2 (I did not research that, someone on this thread mentioned it.) I don't think Corel shares will drop to $2 and please don't reach that conclusion, and I am sure the shares are worth much more than $8.30 (today's closing price), but let management convince the market. By the way sorry if I did upset you or anyone on this thread. I was just annoyed at the extremely weak performance of this stock. I was sold on this company at one time, and may return back and buy shares when the price stabilizes. Good luck to all.
