Greg, I did not have a take on the GLW deal. I think you summed it up pretty well---i tend to agree but i am no expert in this field. Maybe Pat Mudge might be able to figure out what this means---i put a post to him on the SDLI thread. Where is the fibre optics expert "bulldozer"? I hold GLW and ETEK--don't have any SDLI. Looking to buy. Read the Street.com on SDLI/ETEK merger possibility (about equal size company). A merger of passive and active just like Uniphase and JDS Fitel. I think both those stock will move up sharply if it is to occur. SDLI is "due" to announce a stock split as well.
