Recall we have 17 stab wounds here. We also know the tip of the knife got stuck in her skull. So, the key question, I think, is whether you can stab someone 17 times in a localized spot before they fall down.

Again, assuming the person was able to stand up for all 17 blows, isn't it likely the person would also be able to either a) move slightly causing a wound to the face, shoulder, or back, or b) put up a hand -- even involuntarily -- in self defense? There's no evidence of either of these events.

Again, I'm not saying it didn't happen, I just don't think it that likely, but I'd love to hear what others think!
