Numerous studies have shown that rubbing a screaming cat for more than 10 minutes will result in a 20% injury rate for cell-phone users and a 32% injury rate for laptop users (due to the greater rubbing rate). Injuries included severe clawing with extensive skin shredding and bite marks. PETA has demanded a stop to this practice.
