I do agree to a large extent with zigler about the rewards of investing in CDN companies. I have made and lost(sh..t!) money in some of these companies. But let's not forget that the US market is much bigger and overall bigger potential for rewards and risks exist there. Also, Corel's current slide is not due to Microsoft's better products or because they care more about their investors but due to the big portfolio holders that are so big they can manipulate pretty much any stock's value. They can raise a stock by $2 with so so earnings and drop it by $10 if you just meet expectations or some negative rumour is out on the streets. Just as Corel's stock is moving down and being held down, Microsoft's stock is WAY over valued because the big boys/girls (mutual fund mgrs and others) are patting each other's back big time. Maybe their trying to recover some of their Bre-X loss. Also, don't forget that most of you are responsible for Microsoft's profits. Stop buying every version of Word or Windows that they release promoted as enhanced and better but more of a camouflage for bug fixes. Let's face it, how many versions of Windows are you going to collect Win/95, 97, 98, 99 ... And how many versions of Word do you need? How many of the current and new features do you really use? Is it really worth all the money your spending?

I believe JAVA will be a great force, unless some company screws it up. But yes Corel needs to play with more presence in the corporate market. I'm sure they must see that. They'd BETTER! And I think the Java NC will level the playing field BIG TIME to give Corel and anyone else a stronger fighting chance to succeed.

Good luck to all!
