I too had a limit order in to buy Dec 25 calls above the ask and couldn't get it filled. The ask was only at 1.

Get this, at 1:19a ET, the bids for Dec 25 call are back up to 4 1/8.
Given this late date, that's an appropriate level for a stock priced at about 27.
