Santa was a major success. He arrived on the Harbor boat with blue light and siren, with Ho Ho Ho echoing across the water. We took 220 photographs and had exactly the amount of gift bags as we had children.

One couple showed up with their 3 day old new baby.

We have the most wonderful Santa, that truly loves children.

Years ago a neighbor made me the most wonderful throne which I store in my garage and use only once a year. I have lights and decorations that I have collected for this event.

We have a landing on the bay in our neighborhood that works perfectly for this. The city did some repair about 8 years ago to the landing and another neighbor was unhappy with their plans to asphalt the space, so the neighbor paid for and installed pavers. The city asked me to lay out planters and I chose 3 planters placed in a triangle shape, with a palm tree placed in the center of each. I string xmas lights to each, leaving the front open. A local contractor donates large standing flood lights. In the bay just in front of the site is a floating lit Christmas tree which reflects off the water. The whole site is beautiful and really gets the Christmas spirit going.

I think I will do this as long as I am alive.

Maybe next year you and Carolyn can come and help.
