Hi GV Tucker, do you have any comments on the following post and its CF analysis?
Hi Saturn V, I think '97 & '98 were major investment years - in both dotcoms and Merced. According to the Red Herring, Intel's ROI was the third best in the entire VC industry. This is extremely impressive.
Thanks, Amy J

INTC update:
I just calculated the free cash flow per share for INTC over the last three years (including taxes paid, but not interest). Here are the numbers: 1998 1997 1996 Op CF $9,191 $10,008 $8,743 Plus: Prov for Taxes 3,059 3,714 2,777
Less: Capital Expenditures <3,557> <3,714> <2,277> Acquisitions < 906> Taxes Paid <2,784> <3,305> <2,217> -------------------------------------------- Free Cash Flow 5,203 5,916 6,279
Basic Share O/S 3,315 3,156 3,284
FCF/share $1.57 $1.87 $1.91
Pretty hard to make the case that this has been a growth company over the last three years.
