Wireless E-commerce Innovators Added to Diversinet Senior Management Team

Additions Will Help Increase Leadership Position in Wireless
Security Solutions
Diversinet Corp. (NASDAQ:DVNT) (CDN:DVNT.), a leading provider of security solutions for wireless e-commerce, today announced it has added two senior executives to its management team. The new additions join Diversinet from Ubiq Communications, a wireless financial content services provider recently acquired by Diversinet.
Bill Hefferan, formerly the President of Ubiq Communications, has joined the Company in the position of Vice President - North American Wireless Group. In this capacity, Mr. Hefferan will oversee sales activities pertaining to secure wireless financial services. Mr. Hefferan has been marketing wireless and other emerging technologies for over 20 years and has extensive experience in working with the financial services industry.
Of his new role at Diversinet, Mr. Hefferan said, "We will be working with our partners to accelerate the development of wireless e-commerce and the financial applications that are necessary to grow the industry. As more applications are developed and accepted by mobile device users, it will create the opportunity for us to offer our patented Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) products as the preferred method of security for the wireless-data network."
Also joining the company from Ubiq as Chief Technology Officer is Mr. Abdul Nabi. As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Ubiq Communications, Mr. Nabi developed that Company's software and services for wireless information products. Prior to Ubiq, Mr. Nabi was the Co-Founder and CEO of DevTeamOne, where he helped to create custom systems and environments for mobile computing (pagers, PDAs, etc.). In addition to his responsibilities as Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Nabi will be in charge of Diversinet's strategic developments in their Silicon Valley office.
