Most potential customers see automation and today, I suspect, networking, as complex, high maintenance and not worth the bother.

My foray into wiring my new home for all the electronic joys in life indicated to me that this tide is turning. There is a market out there for home networking. In my local area, which is far out suburban, there are a number of guys who do strictly specialty wiring for new and old homes. Web sites abound catering to the needs of those interested in advanced home networks. From our SI community(which, of course, includes mostly techies), I received many PM's about this subject. My local builders advocate installing the wiring while you are building. It's a start at least! I am sure I'm not the only one with a 4 year old who would like to be at hotwheels.com at the same time dad wants to read filings at Edgar. Am I?
