A man-made disaster Is the real "emergency" that FEMA is preparing for martial law? << Media intentionally blurs fact and fiction. But far from being a fantastic construct of Hollywood, FEMA is all too real. Some people refer to it as America's "secret government." It really does have more power than Congress or the President of the United States. It really can suspend laws. It can move entire populations. It can arrest and detain citizens without a warrant and hold them without trial. It can seize property, food supplies, transportation systems. It can, at will, suspend the Constitution. That is indeed worth thinking about, particularly these days. FEMA, the most powerful entity in the United States, was not even created under constitutional law by Congress.
