Slavery is the involuntary extraction of labor. In the South 100% of the labor of slaves was stolen. In 1999 USA up to half of your labor is appropriated by government on all levels. Now if the threat of jail and financial ruin was removed, and you still would contribute half of your labor to the collective, fine. Those who would contribute something less are on the same continuum as the African slaves.
