First, on your theory, any taxation would be "slavery", which I deny, since there is an affirmative duty to support the government, and carry one's weight. Second, I would be happy to say that the tax burden is excessive, and therefore constitutes a degree of oppression. Third, my objection is to equating our current rate of taxation with slavery, which not only exaggerates the heinousness of the taxation, but trivializes slavery.......
