Global Media Wins Best Overall Solution Award For Its Linux Streaming Solution

VANCOUVER, Nov. 17 /CNW-PRN/ - Global Media Corp. (OTC BB: GLMC), an Internet company focused on providing e-commerce and streaming tools for media and entertainment companies, today announced that it has won the Best Overall Solution Award at the Penguin Playoffs in the Linux Expo held at this week's Comdex Fall convention in Las Vegas.
Global Media was nominated for the Best Overall Solution Award by Linux Journal, the industry standard trade journal for the community of programmers and users of the Linux operating system. For both its broadcasting and e-commerce solutions, Global Media has developed leading edge systems based on the Linux operating system. Marco Belmonte, technical lead, network engineering, accepted the award on behalf of Global Media from the keynote speaker, Linus Torvald, the creator of Linux.
