Theoretically, yes. In practice, some things happen that aren't explained by theory... They aren't supposed to be loaned out if they are in an IRA or in a cash account, but you never know what might happen when one brokerage firm or MM needs a favor from a friend. What you don't know sometimes can hurt you. The way the short players work in Canada is downright scary. The good thing is that time is on our hands, and we haven't lost anything unless we sell... --James
