For Speculative Ears,
Given this IPO (FMKT) will astronomically break out of the gate in a nearly limitless fashion (pre-market issues $40+!) and leave those of us not comfortably rubbing elbows with Goldman Sachs behind, we should look for alternative ways to cash in on this phenomenon. For instance, I am extremely excited about an underappreciated B2B stock: Ubarter.com (UBTR-over the counter $3.5). Today the stock is already trading at a volumen 4.25 times greater than its average. In fact, one order alone was made for 12,000 shares (Quote.com)! I look for this stock to make some serious noise tomorrow, and it could more than triple with right manipulative efforts. It would be, by all means, extremely sensitive to a big advancement in buying volume. An article to note below. . .
Transaction volume grew 645 percent year over year from $334,072 in November 1998 to $2,488,354 in November 1999. The increase in transaction volume was attributed both to the Company's acquisition of Barter Business Exchange (BBE) in March 1999 and to the launch of the Company's Web site, located at www.ubarter.com . Pro forma for its acquisition of BBE, the Company grew transaction volume by 65 percent year over year in the month of November.
"Although we are pleased with our results from the month of November, we look forward to even better months ahead. Our online presence, coupled with recent write-ups in magazines such as Red Herring and PC Magazine, is generating strong momentum for Ubarter.com," stated Steven White, president and CEO of Ubarter.com. "We anticipate that online business-to-business barter will heat up in early 2000 and we hope to use our first mover advantage to stay ahead of any potential competition."
