Regarding the 8 million Zip drives vs. official statement of 5 million Zips - I wonder if the unofficial number was the target figure for all of Iomega's storage solutions. This would include Zip, Jaz, and Ditto. Iomega uses both the "Zip drives sold" and "storage solutions sold" numbers in press releases. Maybe the guy meant to say "storage solutions" and said Zip instead. Would 3 million units be about right for a combined sales of Jaz and Ditto?
