Com21 Modems Receive CableLabs Certified Status

MILPITAS, Calif. -- Com21 Inc. (CMTO) obtained certification for two models of its cable modem product line by CableLabs for use with Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification cable networks.

In a press release Thursday, the company said the certified modems are the DOXport 101 and DOXport 1010.

The certification ensures the modems are compatible with qualified systems from multiple headend equipment manufacturers, the company said.

Com21 traded recently at 27, up 6 1/4, or about 30%, on Nasdaq composite volume of 3.1 million shares, Average volume is 632,000 shares.
