Jaime, my position on J. Anthony is neutral. (Although I like her style). I have to give her some credit. You asked her to put up or shut up and she did. She posted the info. I won't take the time to verify the info, but I'm sure others will. I don't care whether or not she is long/short, male/female or anything else. The simple fact is that she posted info regarding the CEO's criminal past (whether this is important or not) before I heard it anywhere else. Then it comes out in a news release. I would say that she contributed something useful to the thread regardless of her intentions. Isn't that a good thing? If it is not detrimental in any way, then nobody will care. Obviously somebody DOES care as was pointed out a couple of posts ago. Maybe some short tipped her off, but I will repeat that I have never spoke to anyone outside of this thread (except return email) so it wasn't me. I think she deserves the benefit of the doubt regarding uncovering this news herself until proven otherwise.
Also, if there is some big naked short position in GIFS, it will have to be covered sooner or later. There will be nothing stopping the rise of the stock price provided the float remains small. I think the only people that are short have legit shares to cover with and just wanted to lock in the price.
As for your other question, AOL sucks. So does MSN. GTE sucks also. I am using a local ISP now.
P.S. That was an awfully polite post Jaime. I will respond in kind unless someone else provokes me. By provoke, I mean saying things about me that are untrue like "look at his posts. All he does is short." "He doesn't post anywhere but here and one other thread where he told people to f*** off." "He shorted MTZ at 22 1/2", remember this one? BTW MTZ down 3 days in a row. Down 2 bucks today. Go ahead and attack my points about GIFS everyone, but don't go on this thread and tell everyone what I do and don't do here at SI. I have posted at one time or another on more than 20 threads. I currently post on probably 10 or so. And plenty of them I post as a bull. So as long as I am not misrepresented I won't get upset. Oh, I almost forgot. Name calling. I will respond in kind to this as well.
One other thing. My harsh response to Bob Wolff was meant to make a point. He doesn't really say anything too bad about me so maybe he didn't deserve it. But he does refer to me in the third person in a negative way. My point I wanted to make (about wasting the threads time talking about $15) was the fact that $15 is approx. 8.5 times what GIFS is trading at now. If I came on this thread and talked about GIFS being only worth .20 (1.75 divided by 8.5) people would scream and holler that I was crazy and had no credibility assigning a price like that. I would be laughed off this thread.
