how can Dell screw this up?

By failing to execute. Every vendor in the business understands the convergence you describe. What advantage does DELL have, or intend to develop?

CPQ has a complete range of 11MBit wireless office products available today. HP will have a complete suite within the next few months. And those companies developed and own the base technology, and BTW also agreed on standards which are now widely accepted.

It looks to me like DELL is standing on the sidelines watching all of this happen and somehow hoping that the gravy train will turn their way...
