Here is one announcement. Cowpland announced today at the AGM, OEM deals with AST Computers, Western Digital, Commodore, and a German PC maker.

WordPerfect Suite 8 was previewed at the AGM, and it looks impressive. There appears to be good integration between apps and overall performance is improved. The suite also incorporates MMX technology (the only office suite to do so) and has some Draw features incorporated into the apps.

The upgrade street price for WP8 will be $US 149 compared to $US 99 for WP7. Hopefully this will not have a big impact on unit volumes, but will definitely improve margins and profits.

Cowpland stated that he is expecting a surge in sales for this quarter.

He also stated that the (approved) revised employee stock option plan will add to company cash reserves in the future as the repriced options are exercised when the stock is trading at higher levels. His example was that if 5 miilion options are exercised at $9 when the stock trades at say $16, the company would receive $45 million.
