Elmer, A fix can mean that the BIOS fix has been posted to a site and this can happen rapidly after an errata is found.
A true fix might have to wait for th next mask stepping, if they feel it is important enough, or a microcode fix might be doable too.
I just looked, the fix was published, so the people must fix it themselves. I am sure Dell will do it in house, but what about all those people with broken systems? will dell call them or will they say nothing? How does this one affect anyone? Has anyone tested this errata for real world impact?
