David Wahl and John Balazovic have been appointed to the board of directors of the company. Mr. Wahl and Mr. Balazovic bring a keen awareness of the needs of a junior mining company in mineral exploration, development and financings. These gentlemen have developed an expertise in these areas which will help carry Millstream successfully into the 21st century. Mr. Wahl, president, Southampton Associates Inc., graduated as engineer of mines, Colorado School of Mines. Mr. Wahl has over 30 years of experience in mineral exploration and development with specific emphasis on project management and property evaluations as they apply to public and private offerings and related dealings with the various securities commissions and stock exchanges. During that time, Mr. Wahl authored or co-authored over 300 geological and mining reports for the Canadian and international mining industry. These reports were used to support public and private offering of shares of many mining and exploration companies, which resulted in the successful raising of approximately $600-million. As an integral part of this work, Mr. Wahl has managed and directed many resource development programs. Mr. Wahl is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario. He also holds the designation of consulting engineer and has been granted a specialization in exploration and development. Mr. Balazovic, executive vice-president, Syldan Consultants Inc., has in excess of 35 years of expertise in the financial services sector dealing with both private and public companies. His experience includes approximately 25 years in public accounting practice, 17 years as a partner and office managing partner of a "Big 5" accounting firm as well as five years with an investment banking firm and latterly as a consultant in both the financial and general management areas. During his time in investment banking, Mr. Balazovic was involved in both public offerings and private placements which included liaison with the various securities commissions and stock exchanges. In addition, his past experience includes direct involvement in the mining industry where he was controller of a junior operating mine. |
