John, re remote DSLAM for ADSL servicing You have hope - well, you might have a chance anyway... I found out that my place also has a "DLC" shack for muxing phone lines back to the CO. The great news is it uses equipment from Pair Gain. I looked over their web site and indeed they are selling ADSL card to go in their remote system. Check it out at: pairgain.com How does this help you? Just that now you know that your ILEC or CLEC might only need to swap a card in your existing DLC rather than start from scratch. If this is true for you then it might cut a few years off your wait for service :) Jeff
