I go to sleep each night reading manuals. The day of the printed manual is long gone, I am afraid.
I am more concerned with the possible negative side of takeovers. It often kills inovations.
Now How many data programs provide you with tons of pre-setups. items like hotlists. Ability to save your layouts in detail with colors, fonts and sizes. Nearly every element can be changed. I put about 700 new symbols into my quotesheets each night in less time then it takes me to tell you. I sometimes run 3 add-on programs including Advanced GET RT off the feed and my resources are hardly touched. I am blessed with a good connection, rare switching. I have seen the problems sometimes caused by their data vendor, none have ever affected my trading. I don't trade futures, options, or watch indices, so maybe that is a difference. But day after day the program has delivered for me. It is best I have seen.
I have never had to call support, I have never talked to anyone on the phone, I have never had to. I thought the on-line help was sufficent, it hasn't kept up with beta changes. And BTW: I have never had production release on my computer since day one. I bet you are a better computer man than me.
When I hear people having problems, I wish they had the service I have. I really have to stop being the "no problem" man here, I doubt I can help them. I just hate to see a good product get such a ragging like it doesn't deliver.
The new user "Dotty", I think if she reads help then looks at program. Experimenting, trying features, as long as she doesn't save a change she won't hurt anything. If she does, she is a quick download from starting anew. I must have about 20-30 friends, that left SI long ago, Who use Qcharts none complain about it in our daily e-mail traffic and some of them know how to complain.
As for Gibbons, as a "customer" now he has the right to yawn. |
