Richard, I can't help but think that Babish must have tried repeatedly to peddle the various "promising candidates" that his in vitro signal transduction methodology uncovered. But neither majors nor minors signed up to partner, possibly because their own researchers uncover hundreds more promising candidates than they can ever explore. And PRLN never had the resources to take more than a couple of candidates past this very preliminary stage. Even for those two, A.Car and A.Vir, no one stepped forward to partner. Apparently, whatever PRLN added to the existing knowledge base of these extracts was not highly valued by the biotech and pharmaceutical firms that constitute PRLN's primary market.
