Gerald,

Re:"So are you now claiming that the just released, still expensive Coppermine systems are being bought by Grannies and Joe Six-Packs? I think not. Anyone buying these new machines are either corporate customers or enthusiasts extraordinaire, and both know how to update their BIOS.

And if there's such demand that non-enthusiasts want this chip at its current price, then that's great news for Intel and horrible news for AMD who'll have to start hacking and slashing their prices (and their slim chance at profit) once again to try to hurt Intel (which, after all, is more important to Jerry than turning a profit anyway since he still gets his bonus and limo either way)."

Great JOB!!!

You have just articulated Intels approach.

Customers shouldn't care about getting a quality product that works from the start.

I suspect its this arrogant, damn the torpedoes, ship with bugs at any cost attitude that is finally coming to light.

Perhaps they should have customers take a PC driving test before they are allowed to waste their money purchasing this junk.

Intel is a great company and brand. Methinks that Barret and the coppermine/rambus cowboys are in the process of destroying it as we speak.

And shareholders who see no evil and hear no evil are helping them do it as we speak.

regards,

Kash
