Steve,

Covered call writers on CMGI turned out to be an unwise decision during the last 4 weeks. It's a 2 edge sword, besides a 1 month premium can't protect you in a down swing. I also write covered calls on CMGI but LEAPS, then I use the cash to buy 2-3 month calls. This helped since the medium term calls profit more than offset the missed opportunity on the ones you have written. It has been working so far, tomorrow, who knows. This is JMO. Happy trading.
