Agreed. On the same day Dell itself released a news about "Technology-Based and Online Training Programs", not the deal with NI which will be very small for its revenue anyway. Dell sells many items from 3rd party, not many of them are prosperous. This is just a sign that PC sell is slowing down, if anything.

I also feel that it's a pre-mature news release. None of the 2 systems is available now. No pricing neither. Impact on bottom line? Not sure at all. After all, the systems are labview with a pre-installed daq or gpib boards. I thought engineers always want to configure for his/her particular setups. Is SW/HW install such a big deal and/or save? In fact, if this is the way NI has to sell most of its systems, it will cut into its margin.

One thing this news shows is the strength of NI in the field of computer DAQ/instrumentation. But NI has to back it up.(ws)
