Maybe some equities, but certainly not the type GVW invests in! Yes, it's been painful (I'm down about the same %age since mid-jan '97) but I still believe this is the only way the average investor should be in the small-cap-tech-stock-mkt. VW's long term record speaks for itself - I doubt he's gotten stupid over the past 12 months. I added to my VWEGX in early April (about 15% ago) and plan to do it again next week. Even then my investment will still be a small %age of my retirement acct and if it disappeared totally (it won't!) life would go on. Only crapshooters would use a fund like this for a major portion of their portfolio.

I'm confident that those of us who gut it out will be very glad we did five years from now.
