LINMOR's New LINUX-based Performance Management Software
Allows Entry into Lucrative DSL Market

December 9, 1999

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--High Performance, Cost-Effective LINUX-based
Technology Already Selected by Leading U.S. Service Provider

LINMOR Technologies (CDNX: LIR), a leading developer of network
management systems for managing the Internet network
infrastructure, announced today that its entire network management
product line has been ported to the LINUX(r) operating system.
LINUX is ideal to address the rapidly emerging Digital Subscriber
Line (DSL) market, where the typical network is comprised of
millions of objects that need to be managed. LINMOR's LINUX
solution will enable carriers to cost-effectively manage this new
breed of very large, complex networks. This is part of LINMOR's
aim to be the leading performance management software supplier to
DSL carriers.

In fact, LINMOR has already made its first sale of its new
LINUX-based data collection software to NEXTLINK Communications, a
rapidly emerging national leader in broadband communications
services. NEXTLINK will use LINMOR's NEBULA Data Collectors in
conjunction with LINMOR's NEBULA Performance Monitor (PM). The
sale of NEBULA PM to NEXTLINK was announced last month.

"Securing our first sale so quickly after this product's inception
tells us that we are correctly forecasting what today's Network
Service Providers are looking for," said John Farrell, President
of LINMOR Technologies. "We are very excited about this sale as we
feel that other Network Service Providers will quickly realize the
cost savings benefits of our LINUX solution, especially those
deploying DSL networks and other Internet services that literally
require the management of millions of network objects."

Cost Saving Benefits of the LINUX Platform

With the phenomenal growth of the DSL market, in addition to the
continual growth of the IP, ATM, and Frame Relay markets, Service
Providers deploying such networks need to efficiently and
cost-effectively manage millions of network objects. As the
collection of performance data of these network objects is an
integral part of network management, the ability for NEBULA to now
run on LINUX is extremely beneficial in that since LINUX runs on
any Intel-based PC, LINMOR is able to deploy dedicated data
collection systems at a reduced cost of approximately 70% to the
Service Provider.

"It's a cost-effective solution which enables Network Service
Providers to manage extremely large, complex networks in
real-time," said Bogdan Materna, Chief Technology Officer and Vice
President of Engineering for LINMOR Technologies. "We strive to
provide best-in-class products recognizing the need of Service
Providers to centralize the management of their infrastructure and
lower operational costs, all while improving service to their
customers."
