Robert re <<It means they are building up supplies in the channel>> I am not so sure. Those could be just samples made in small volumes. The ramp at one of the fabs may take months. Intel must have known about this nice result for a while and perhaps higher speed grades that Intel has had plans for, for the first half of 2000, already counted on this process. But, if this process is not what Intel expected to count on, and now they can implement it quickly, then AMD is not looking as good any more. It remains to be seen what the deal is. Mani
