Janus Capital has 6.53 pct Nokia stake
HELSINKI, Dec 9 (Reuters) - The world's biggest mobile phone maker Nokia(NYSE:NOK - news) said on Thursday that U.S. investment adviser Janus CapitalCorporation, through its clients, had raised its stake to 6.53 percent.
Finland has a disclosure threshold for shareholdings of five percent.
``As of December 7, 1999, Janus Capital Corporation holds through its clients the total of 79,303,618 shares consisting of both ADRs and ordinary shares,' Nokia said in a statement.
Janus Capital is clearly the group's biggest known external owner.
