Thanks, yes it does help.
Some who translate do it verbatim
and others stylize.... The book from Kate Flores has many other poems and poets so at least I can deduce that most of the rest are verbatim....
Which is very nice because you can create your own perception. ~.~

Old French... Lawrence Durrel used OldFrench to write about the 'racy' parts in his books. Well just so happens
my neighbor had a working acquaintance from France over and we had a BBQ for them. I pull out this book and ask for a translation and she is blushing and takes my neighbors wife over and whispers all the nasty parts...Vicki(neighbor) asking if she could borrow the book and will translate by themselves because the girl was having trouble understanding some of the parts its in Old French...you know something-I still don't know what those parts say except the next day her husband said he's really likes French cause his wife didn't let him have a wink of sleep that night. Plus she kept my book.

The Workman's Wife (LA FEMME DE L'OUVRIER)
~Mallarme

Wife and Child and soup being brought
To the working man where the stone is quarried
Congratulate him that he's cut
Into the habit of being married.
